Finally, summer is here! Vancouver’s Lower Mainland has been usually cold the last few weeks but lo and behold, summer is here. And as so, I was ever so inclined to take the kids to the beach. Here’s one photo that I think represents some of the reasons why we really love summer.

/ August 17, 2012What a beautiful capture! The umbrellas seem paranthetical to the sky/mountains and the water behind them. Great colour that stands out against the muted, almost pastel light of the background. It partricularly attracts me because I too have been taking photos of um brellas, for an article on these lovely objects.

/ August 21, 2012Yes, I did: a Canon 60-D; 5 frames per second – love it! But I’m still learning how to use it. Hope to capture some great photos; in fact, I’m planning to create another website called “Capturing Kelowna” – displaying photos taken of people in Kelowna. Cheers!
